Privacy policy

Shokonotes is a local app for macOS and iPhone. Notes are files in a folder you choose.

• The app does not collect accounts, analytics, or crash telemetry.
• The app does not send your notes to a server.
• A security-scoped bookmark of the notes folder is stored in UserDefaults so the sandbox can open that folder again.
• Pins, folder symbols and favourites are stored as JSON inside a .shokonotes directory at the root of your notes folder.
• Preview rendering is local (cmark).
• Dictation on iPhone, when used, runs on-device.
• The Home Screen badge is a local inbox count; it is not sent anywhere.
• Network access is not requested.
